Which kids club is best for your son?
It’s not just about being able to pick your kid’s sports team, says a new study.
In fact, kids may need to be exposed to more than just one sport in order to have an even chance at developing a healthy, happy, and successful relationship with their parent.
Researchers found that kids exposed to sports at a young age may have less success in later life.
“When kids are exposed to multiple sports, it’s not only that they have a greater chance of developing friendships, but they also have a better chance of forming positive relationships with their parents,” said lead author Jessica J. Siegel, a doctoral student at Northwestern University.
So what can you do to prepare for this new age of competition?
For starters, Siegel says, make sure your kids are playing outside during the summer months.
