The Boys Club: Murder in the West End
The Boys’ Club, a children’s club in London, was shot dead last night after its owners were accused of plotting to kill children in the city.
The club, which was opened in 1891, has an estimated 30,000 members and is home to a number of children from both immigrant and working class backgrounds.
The Independent understands that police are investigating claims that one of the club’s directors, a man in his mid-20s, was the instigator of the murder of two boys, aged 10 and 13, who were walking home from the nearby school last Sunday.
According to a witness, the alleged killer, identified only as ‘Juan’, approached the boys and told them: “You can’t come to the club.”
Juan, who was in his 20s, allegedly stabbed the boys in the chest before taking his own life.
He then turned up at the club to make a suicide note and was later apprehended by police.
A source at the Boys’ club said that it had been contacted by the Metropolitan Police’s homicide squad and that a member of staff was being interviewed.
The news comes just days after the club was condemned by its former chief executive as “a criminal organisation”.
We are in shock, devastated and shocked that anyone would dare to do such a thing. “
The club’s former chief executives are deeply disturbed by the events that took place last night, and they have asked that we take the utmost care over the safety and wellbeing of all of our members.”

“We know that the police are now on the scene, and we are deeply saddened by this sad and senseless act.”
In a further statement on Sunday night, an official at the group said that “there are some very dark thoughts swirling around us”.
“We will do whatever we can to keep our members safe, and to offer support to anyone who may be in distress,” it said.
“Our thoughts are with all the family and friends of the victims, and with all those who are suffering.”
The club is a great place to play, a wonderful, family-run and family-oriented place.
We have a large community of members, and a wide range of age groups.
“It’s been a long time coming, but this is a very sad and painful loss.
“Thank you for your understanding.””
Last month, the former chief said that the club would “never accept” the allegation that its members were responsible for the murder.”

Speaking to The Sun, he said: ”We are deeply shocked and distressed that any person would do this.
We’ve worked for the club for a very long time, and our members have been the bedrock of our business.
We know that it’s a difficult time for the family of the murdered boys.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said: “”We are aware of the allegations and are investigating the matter. “
All we can do is say that our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends who have been touched by this tragedy.”
